MACON, Ga. — Feb. 3, 2026 — Helms College is proud to announce its Winter 2026 Commencement Ceremony on Tuesday, February 3, recognizing graduates from the college’s Macon campus.
The ceremony will honor students who have completed associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates in culinary and HVAC workforce training programs aligned with regional employment needs and career pathways across Middle Georgia.

“Graduation marks an important milestone for our students and their families,” said Kris Furtaw, senior vice president for education operations at Helms College. “They have balanced work, family, and responsibility while committing themselves to learning and growth. They leave Helms College with skills they can use, confidence they have earned, and pride in what they have accomplished.”
The commencement speaker will be Bob King, sales manager at Hays Service. King has more than 40 years of experience in business-to-business sales and leadership and has spent the past nine years in the HVAC industry. He is also a certified Maxwell coach and trainer and is known for his servant-leadership approach to sales, mentoring, and professional development.
