Helms College is proud to announce its upcoming Macon Campus Graduation Ceremony, taking place on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Anderson Conference Center, 5171 Eisenhower Parkway in Macon.

The evening will mark a powerful celebration of student achievement, perseverance, and transformation as graduates from the Polly Long Denton School of Hospitality and the School of Trades prepare to take the next step in their career journeys.

The College is honored to welcome Justice Verda M. Colvin of the Supreme Court of Georgia as commencement speaker. A trailblazer in Georgia’s judicial system, Justice Colvin was appointed to the state’s highest court in 2021 by Governor Brian Kemp after serving on the Georgia Court of Appeals and as a Superior Court Judge in the Macon Judicial Circuit. Her distinguished career also includes service as a federal prosecutor, district attorney, and general counsel in both higher education and private practice. Justice Colvin’s unwavering commitment to justice, equity, and community makes her an inspiring figure for the Class of 2025.

The Macon campus summer graduating class includes 43 students, with five earning Associate of Applied Science degrees, eight Culinary Diplomas, 17 earning Culinary Certificates, and 13 earning HVAC diplomas from the School of Trades. The class includes six Distinguished Honor Graduates, 16 Honor Graduates, and 20 First Generation Scholars, a proud testament to the resilience and determination that define Helms College's experience.

Founded by Goodwill of Middle Georgia, Helms College offers a career education model combining classroom instruction, hands-on lab work, and applied learning in real-world enterprises like Edgar’s Hospitality Group. This approach reinforces skills, boosts confidence, and prepares students for local jobs.
