Under this agreement, students who have earned a diploma from Baldwin High School within the last 12 months and have met minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) and test score requirements, admittance into all culinary arts, medical services, and industrial trade programs taught by Helms College on both of its campuses.

“Baldwin High School has had a strong focus on creating career pathways for its students for some time, and we are very proud to partner with such a strong and well-respected institution,” said José Mallabo, senior vice president of marketing and admissions at Helms College. “We look forward to seeing the impact Baldwin alums will make on the Helms community this fall and for years to come.”

Baldwin High School graduates would have to meet slightly higher GPA requirements for admission into the Helms College associate of applied science degree program for Culinary Operations in Resorts and Clubs but would have access to up to $10,000 per year in scholarships and priority status for housing at the Augusta campus.

Helms College will also provide pre-enrollment and academic advising to Baldwin High School graduates, which will include credit completion for all programs, information related to financial aid, and student support.
