Tuition Information

The Tuition for Helms College:

 Program   Hours   Tuition
 Polly’s Culinary Diploma   1,097   $11,000
 Polly’s Culinary Certificate   602   $5,500
 Culinary Steward Certificate   80   $750

There are additional fees for these programs, and these fees are not included in the tuition. They include textbooks, uniforms, knife set, and other student materials used throughout the program. Actual fees are included with enrollment agreement.

Tuition is subject to change without notice; however, prospective students will receive notification of proposed tuition increases prior to any increases. Students may pay the entire tuition cost by the first day of classes.
An alternative plan to the single payment of tuition is the installment payment option. Under the installment payment option, students are expected to submit their tuition payments on the first of each month in equal amounts beginning with the first day of the first month after the start date of the program.

An example is as follows:

Class starts January 7, 2011,
Tuition payment is due February 1, 2011

The remaining payments follow the first or fifteenth of each month in equal installments:

March 1, March 15, April 1, April 15, May 1, May 15, etc., depending on the individual student’s plan.

Students will work out the details of their payment plan with the Dean of Student Services. Students who do not submit their monthly payments as agreed to in the Enrollment Agreement after receiving monthly written reminders will be subject to serious action which may result in forwarding the individual’s account to a collection agency or other legal action. Failure to pay the required payments will not release the student from the obligation to pay the entire amount. Helms College will not release transcripts or allow students to graduate or sit for certificate testing until tuition is paid in full. Absence from class does not relieve the student of tuition liability. An unexcused unpaid payment is cause for suspension or dismissal.
